Poornima Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jaipur, PIET, a premier institution in engineering education was established in the academic year 2007, is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, and approved by AICTE. PIET aims at providing world-class technical and scientific education that can develop a professional outlook in every walk of life and has been ranked 3rd in QIV ranking. Some of notable achievements are as follows:  PIET has been 1st Institution to offer B.Tech CSE in Regional language  PIET is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  Two of its programs Namely B.Tech in Computer Engineering and B.Tech in Civil Engineering are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India for the quality education.  PIET has been rated PLATINUM in Survey of Industry Linked Technical Institutes conducted by AICTE-CII.  PIET is the only institute in Rajasthan to be funded by AICTE with a fund of Rs. 55Lakh for establishing IDEA Lab.  PIET has been granted in aid of Rs. 12.84314/- for establishing Neural Network& Deep Learning Lab under MODROB Scheme.  Received Research Grant for more than 50 Lakh in 2019-20 & 2020-21 from agencies like TEQIP III, AICTE, NITTTR etc

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF AI&DS


The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a newly added department, founded in 2022. The department aims to develop technocrats in the domain of emerging technology by making them ethical professionals with innovative knowledge and scientific temper to enrich the society ready to face global challenges. The department has a vision to expand and further the research, education and outreach activities in the areas of data science and artificial intelligence. The department carries out research in these two areas, and aims to become a world leader in data science research, where long-standing fundamental research problems across multiple disciplines are targeted and solved. The department undertakes foundational research in several areas of AI and data science - deep learning, reinforcement learning, network analytics, interpretable machine learning, and domain aware AI. The department comprises faculty from several departments across the Institute, who carry out research in various areas of data science and artificial intelligence. This specialized B.Tech. course is specially designed to enable students to build intelligent machines, software, or applications with a cutting-edge combination of machine learning, analytics and visualization technologies.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE


Recent years have witnessed the evolution of Artificial Intelligence [AI] techniques like deep learning, machine learning, pattern recognition, Natural language processing [NLP], and computer vision and their revolutionary applications in the emerging smart city and industrial automation applications. In this scenario, AI provides smart and efficient tools for smart energy systems to perform smart electricity generation, emergency response, and delivery. The integration of renewable energy sources into the smart grid is made easier by using Artificial intelligence technologies. Meanwhile, Machine Learning the subset of Artificial intelligence provides some security and privacy assessment tools to the evolving smart energy grids. As Artificial Intelligence [AI] techniques are still remaining in the initial stage to revolutionize the way we generate, transmit and consume the energy in the smart city and industrial infrastructure. It is clearly known that the integration of AI in smart energy models will deliver a wide range of potential research opportunities to the smart energy management community. The main goal of the International Conference on Recent Advances in Artificial intelligence, Computer Vision & Smart Systems (ICRACS 2024) organized by Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India in April, 2024 is to propose, share and exchange innovative Artificial Intelligence [AI] solutions to enhance the efficiency, stability, robustness, and security of smart energy systems.
